Wedgwood Park Country Club was designed by the great Bob Grimsdell in 1949 and was beautifully crafted out of a parkland environment, making sure that the indigenous vegetation (flame-orange aloes and magnificent trees) remained undisturbed, creating a 40 to 50 foot amphitheatre around each fairway. Pinnacle Point Group (Pty) Ltd acquired Wedgwood Park Country Club a few years ago and construction to transform it into Wedgewood Golf and Country Estate commenced in May 2007. The Wedgewood investment will breathe new life into the decades-old Port Elizabeth golf course, whilst bringing the golf estate lifestyle and retirement village concept to the Eastern Cape.
